Mary Correa
FROM THE ARTIST
Mary Correa is an award winning mixed media artist and instructor. Her primary mediums are acrylic painting and collage, but she also loves to introduce pastels, watercolor and hand stitching into her work. Originally from the DC area, Mary moved to Florida over 20 years ago. Florida has provided inspiration through its florals and fauna, prevalent themes in many of Mary's paintings.

The works of Mary Correa maintain a cohesive and harmonious visual language. Her Crossroads series alludes to themes of possibility, choice, and the passage of time. Through visual motifs - such as circles and repetition - she conveys these cyclical messages through artful abstraction.
Co-founder of the Depot Arts District by Lakeland Arts Association, Correa advocates for our community of local artists, and provides them with the opportunity to expand their studio spaces.
