You Created Me

The sculpture was created by first sculpting the figure. Then I created a press mold which I pressed a slab into and removed. The slab was manipulated to create movement like fabric. Then underglaze was applied and scratched Psalm 139 through the underglaze. This technique is called sgraffitto. Glaze was also applied to the figure and then the piece was fired.
