As a kid my favorite land at Disneyland was always Tomorrowland. What could beat Space Mountain in the heart of a nerdy middle school tween? For me it was a gateway to a magical world of science fiction wonder. Tomorrowland had all the best rides and carried with it that funky late-sixties vision of the future. As I grew older the space-age future I once marveled at transformed into something else—a retro vision of what once was dated yet still endlessly fun. When I finally had the chance to take my own kids I loved being able to share not only the rides but also the charm of that vintage imagined future. This image was created in-camera using a double-exposure lens. I love how the sleek architectural forms flow into one another while the rich retro palette layers together to create a lush complex image.
