Reaching For Your Dreams

This relief sculpture was uniquely created by first sculpting a figure. Then I made a press mold from the sculpture pressing the slab in my mold. Then I removed the pressed slab with the imprint of the figure and manipulated the figure into a new pose. Then it was fired and removed at 1800°. While still hot horse hair was burned on the sculpture to reflect the movement of the figure. This figure is reaching up to the Stars reaching for her dreams.
