More Than You Know

The base of 'More Than You Know' is an inkjet print onto canvas and it features almost a hundred 1.5'' tree rings with smaller images prints transferred to them and connected by twine. This work draws parallels between photographs and tree rings both function as records of existence and evidence of time passing. Layers of imagery texture and print processes become traces of lived experience marking moments that are at once personal and universal. Through experimentation with digital printmaking I seek to emphasize the tension between permanence and impermanence materiality and memory.
