"Maude"

This piece is a one-of-a-kind original created by Rachelle Eason. Plant-Stained Paper...Each piece begins its journey in my studio in beautiful Lakeland Florida. I hand pick every flower leaf fruit and stem that goes into each page then carefully arrange the natural pieces nestling them in spreads of cotton paper and boiling them for hours. Once boiling is complete and the wrapped packages cooled I carefully pull off the plant elements to reveal beautiful natural stains in the papers. The result is a liberation of nature’s essence and a physical expression of its aura. On each page you will discover a beautiful blend of colors a range of textures and impressions and a never-ending source of inspiration. Elements in this pieces include chrysanthemum rose petals hydrangea leaves and daisies.
