CHANIQUE DAVIS
FROM THE ARTIST
Chanique Davis — known as TAKAChanique (The Artist Known As Chanique) — is an inspirational, independent artist based in Auburndale, Florida, whose vibrant and thought-provoking work is deeply rooted in both purpose and faith.
Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, Chanique is passionate about conceptual art — pieces that don't just decorate a space but declare a message. Her creative journey began as a child with a love for drawing, but it was her faith in Jesus Christ that sparked a deeper calling in 2016. What started as an act of obedience quickly evolved into a powerful artistic mission to inspire, uplift, and speak truth through color and canvas.
Since then, Chanique’s work has gained wide recognition: she’s won awards in local art shows, been featured three times at Orlando’s CityArts Gallery, and made national headlines with her viral children’s art projects — catching the attention of PEOPLE Magazine, Good Morning America, and multiple Tampa/Lakeland news stations.
Her bold use of color and powerful symbolism make her pieces instantly recognizable and emotionally resonant. Beyond the studio, she’s known for hosting energetic paint parties, live painting at events, and pouring into the next generation through art education. When she’s not painting, you’ll find her creating music and leading worship as the worship pastor at her church — yet another avenue where her creativity and calling collide.
